I've lived in California for 11 years. I am originally from Ethiopia came to the U.S. when I was ten years old. Anyway I feel like black people in California don't get treated right. I feel like we are disadvantaged compared to other cultures. To be honest, I feel like people in California can be really racist at times. Anyway I know racism is going to exist any where you go...but I feel like there must be a better place where a black person can live and succeed. Any suggestions? I've heard Atlanta is a great place. I'm also considering NYC.

I was researching this topic today... I suggest you check out these articles:

If you decide to check out good cities in general go to these:

www.findyourspot.com (this one has a quiz to find your "best spot")

I'm also looking into multicultural communities. I haven't found much on that yet, but if you would like to know what I find, feel free to hit me up!

You're looking for a place where a black person can live and succeed, right? Try the places where these individuals have lived and they are successful: Barak Obama, Toni Morrison, Colin Powell, Arthur Ashe, Martin Luther King, Jr., Condoleesa Rice, Mae Jamison, Guion Bluford, Thurgood Marshall, Oprah Winfrey, and Venus and Serena Williams.

Everywhere u go u will be faced with some kind of racism or treated unfairly. Choose state or country with a good economic growth or ones that offer support and guidance to minority citizens.
