I honestly can't believe the way he died. When I found out that he died, I cried. Steve Irwin was a great man who risked his life daily for the entertainment of his audience. You would think that someone like Steve Irwin would die from maybe a snake bite or be killed by a crocodile. But what a way for him to go. Watch out for those sting rays.

I haven't, he has been my ideal conservationist for a long time ever since I was 5 watching the Crocodile Hunter and Hunter Diaries, and I'm 17 now. The way he interacts with the orangutans, hilarious moments, to the dangerous snakes and cobras helping the African villagers get rid of the black poisonous inside their huts. It was so suspenseful. But now with him gone I'm afraid the poachers will easily hunt down endangered animals such as tigers for their fur for money with the death of Irwin and no one to stand in their way without a huge famous conservationist such as Irwin himself. I think Australia should have a holiday on his death for all energy and love he put into the zoo and animals that he loved and protected, his favorites were reptiles, crocodiles, and orangutans. We should are miss him dearly.

Yep. Got over it pretty quick once I stopped lauging at the irony of being killed by one of the most harmless animals on the planet.

Edited to add....

aznzodiac, I'm pretty sure the game wardens with machine guns have always done a little more towards keeping poachers from endangered species than Steve-O, did. There's people out there who actually put their lives on the line in ways other than tormenting wildlife to save it. I'm sorry he brainwashed you into thinking he was wonderful, but crocodilians can be trained, and 'venomous' snakes aren't necessarily so, there is a procedure that can be done to disconnect the venom glands from the fangs, yes, it costs a lot of money, but Steve had a lot of money. I'm not saying he -did- mind you, but I am saying it's a possibility..........

Martin Luther King, Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Teresa.

As much as I find anyone's death, particularly at such a young age, unfortunate, I think the structure of society is safe following his death. Those that should have missed him the most, his family and friends, no doubt are still feeling their loss, as they should. The rest of the world should move on. If it helps, perhaps you should support a wildlife cause in his name, that may help. But devise some strategy to move on.

Not only his family of animals and real family, but the millions of fans have a hero's legacy to continue. We will have to ignore the blooming idiots of the world who don't know what they missed.

I am sorry to hear that. It was very shocking. I have come to terms with it. Although, every time they interview Terry it is very sad to watch her cry about it.
