Well, you know, war can inspire creation. So many creative minds have set their tools when war was terrorizing the world. Whatever challenges and disrupts the normal, it provokes reactions. As for peace, it might not be the opposite of war, except socially and historically speaking. Peace doesn't seem to be something that people can stand for a long time.

In some cases, yes, I agree. If it is a destructive war that only aims to destroy another force, the opposite is creation. But war has many forms... some are actually creating. great question. I don't think there really is a definite answer. It depends on the circumstance.

the opposite of war isn't creation, creation can be the result of war though. like in Iraq the creation of schools and freedom/life for women......... however peace isn't necessarily the opposite either. there are plenty of nations not at war right now but are far from peaceful...for example Iran. the atrocities occurring there are horrendous
for example a man who went on strike from his job and was encouraging others to do the same got his tongue cut out piece by piece. no where i would want to be...

If I create an new, bigger and better explosion (say the Manhattan Project) that kills my opposing state's troops, it is both war and creation. War is simply a disagreement on who has a monopoly on the use of coercive force in what situations. Peace is an agreement on the rule of law on who has this monopoly and in what situations. Peace is not utopia, just a agreement on coercive force. Peace can be both very violent and immoral The absence of war is either peace or anarchy. So the opposite of war is "the rule of law" specifically concerning the use of coercive force.

Disagree. Like it or not, war serves as a vehicle for creation as well as destruction. It has created new nations, new freedoms, and new regimes. So war does not alway oppose creation. But by definition, it opposes peace.

Disagree
Peaceis the opposite. War is an attempt to destroy life, as peace is an attempt to sustain life. Creation would be opposite to annihilation.
Best of Luck.

kinda depends on how you define or how teh words are perceived, ergo a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet. so you can define was to be destruction therefore creation is the opposite, but war can also be defined as a psychological event, or a state or concept of ideas and therefore it can be defines as an abscence of harminoy, or abscence of peace, tehrefore the opposite

War seems to be defending yourself as to prevent oppression. It's opposite then would be, not defending yourself and allowing oppression. Doesn't sound like peace or creation.

The opposite of creation is destuction. But take note of this:
At the beginning of all things - destruction waits
At the beginning of life - destruction waits
At the end of life - destruction waits
Always - destruction waits
until we say it is,
Destroyed!
