My friend has her period more frequently then she used to. She now has them one time two weeks after, then five weeks after, then two and a half weeks after then three weeks after. Is there a problem with her and what is it?

She has irregular periods. There's nothing "wrong" with her, but an irregular cycle can be inconvenient, especially when she decides she wants to have a baby.

If she's recently started her periods, this could be perfectly normal. If she was previously regular and has suddenly become irregular, then she might have a hormone imbalance.

The best thing your friend can do is go to the doctor and see what he or she has to say on the matter.

Yes, it sounds like there's a problem going on and this needs to be evaluated by her dr. This could be a hormone imbalance. The dr will help her try to figure out what is going on.

It could be her age. the easiest way to find out is for her to have Blood tests and find out about her hormone levels. then if she is young they will probably put her on the pill to regulate her periods. she could be just starting or just finishing both are normal but a pain.

Sounds as if she needs to see her gyn. for her annual pap smear. It could be as simple as hormonal imbalance, to something more serious, as a cyst, std. If shes bleeding a lot perhaps she might want to visit the er, to make sure everything is ok.

it's pretty normal if she hasn't had her period for that long(as in, if it hasn't been a long time since she had her first period.)
