When I was 13, I didn't wear thongs. I don't really like the way they feel and stuff. It's personal preference. Some people like them because there's no underwear lines on their pants and others believe that they feel comfortable.
As long as your friend isn't making adult desicions or something that you are concerned about then just ignore it.

I have friends that wear thongs, and I think that's too young for me personally, but really it's just what their comfort level is. There is nothing wrong with wearing a thong, and if you're not comfortable with them, don't wear them! :-)

YES! The girl is only 13, c'mon now sweetie. DIDN'T YOU SEE TODAY'S EPISODE OF TYRA!!!!!! Young girls trying to be sexy. She need to stop and wait until she's older and has them for a REASON. Tips for when you get older: Don't wear thongs on a regular basis because then you don't feel sexy in them anymore. They just feel like plain old regular underwear. Tell your friend to calm down with that.

I think she is too young because your only 13 youve just become a teen so that doesnt mean you should wear thongs!

I think it's too young, but then again when i was in 5th grade one of my friends was wearing a thong that said doggy style on it.

Thongs, and any underwear for that matter, belong inside of your pants. If you want to wear them with tighter pants because you don't want pantylines, that's fine. But if she's wearing them so the tops can hang out of her pants and so she can look "sexy" for the boys, then she's just being irresponsible.

It's up to her, I didn't start wearing them until I was 16. I think as long as she isn't slutty about it, it's fine.
