My aunt said she can get me a free duck for a pet and that would be cool....I live on a lake, so is there a way the duck can live in my cove, but still be my pet, or then would he be a wild animal, is there someway to keep him near my dock, but still have room to be with the other ducks in my area. Or since i dont have anywhere to keep a duck besides the lake, should i just pass up her offer on the duck altogether

I have always loved watching the wild ducks and just wish that they would let me pet them and hand feed them, would a domesticated duck still fare in the wild, and still be considered a pet

thanks

I have several "pet" ducks. All you gotta do is feed them, and they will fall in love with you....My son even made a shelter for them
when its nasty...If I don't get out there in the morning to feed them on time...they are by my patio door quacking....They really are alot of fun to watch...and very territorial...they run after anything that strays into "their" territory...Have Fun

keep food out for him and make sure he knows where it is. take him out a few times but keep him near you for a while so he gets attached to you and the food. Then let him go
