Unlikely. In fact, without Rummie, the administration might have gone with more troops, and more opperations earlier on, leading to higher casualties - possibly it would have been a less unsuccesful war at a higher cost.

Rumsfeld staying or going doesn't/didn't matter. As long as Bush is President American soldiers are going to continue dying.

I don't think it would have made a difference early on. Besides, don't you have to give someone the chance to screw things up first before you criticize them. Of course logic may be absent from your line of thinking. Keep asking questions like this, you make my point everytime. Thanks.
