Hmm...that's a good question for the magistrate's office. It may have been a typographical error and you can check into getting it fixed. I don't know about the legalities, but I would think you should be fine. It could be that the date you're looking at is the date the license was issued. You usually have like so many days after wards to get it signed and all, and still be legal... but I honestly think you should check with the magistrate's office.

The marriage certificate is a reflection of the official record. What you have is probably a typo. Check with the place where your marriage is registered and see what it says. If it says the 29th, get a new copy of the marriage certificate. If the official record says the 19th, you will need to make an affidavit and have it altered.
It doesn't seem like a major matter but in years to come, it could be important.
But either way - your marriage is legal. You just need to straighten out the paperwork.

You need to contact the magistrate court where you were married and inform them that the date of marriage on your license is incorrect. You wouldn't be the first couple to be the victims of a misprint. It can easily be corrected. A new license would have to be issued with the correct date on it. Just be sure you have some documentation with your actual date of marriage on it.

Do you have a marriage certificate? If so, you're married. If you REALLY want to have the correct date put on there, call the place that issued the marriage license and the marriage certificate, and have them correct the date.

yes you're legally married. You were supposed to get your license before the ceremony. The day of the ceremony is different from the date you get the license. So it might be okay.

they put the date of when you applied for your marriage license. they tell you that you have to wait for a certain amount of time before you can get married. but they put the date that you applied for the license on the license so technically you were.

Since you say you were married in West Virginia, I wouldn't worry too much about small details like dates. As long as yer preacher got his jug of shine from yer paw, why, ever'thins right as rain. And even if'n the marryin aint legal, yer new husban'll still be yer brother - they cain't take that away.

I would think that a clerical error or mistake does not annul your marriage. You can go back into the clerk (or where ever you obtained the license) and have it corrected. It may require a fee.
