I like the first name, but it doesn't go with Caleb.

Your right that guy shouldn't have said your son's name sounds gay, that's just immaturity so pay no attention to him.

You named your son what you wanted to and what you like, after all you did give birth to him and go through a long 9 month pregnancy, you have every right to name that child whatever it is that makes you happy :-)

There's always going to be someone out there who is going to hate your kids name. I've been told so many times that my middle son's middle name, Duncan, is a stupid name. I don't remember anyone else going through the 39 hours of labor i went through to bring him into this world with me, therefore anyone else's opinion of his name doesn't matter. The bottom line is that hes YOUR kid and as long as you love his name, who the hell cares what anyone else thinks?. We live in a world full of opionated people. You just have to learn to ignore unwanted comments that come out of people's mouths.
I personally think Jaylen is a cute name. It's different and creative. Plus i like the nickname Jay.

....oh and please ignore "ignorant" comments (some of them can be really mean, i know). it is true, everybody has different opinion, so let them have it... i have a friend and their son's name is Julian, i like it a lot, it fits him. Jaylen sounds little similar to that name. i also think when boys get bigger, they usually get nickname from friends and in this case i think it will be Jay, right? i think Jay is very cool name! the most important thing is, you love your son's name and YOU are going to say it million times a day. i think you gave your son beautiful name, it is from heart - that's the important part!

Jaylen is more of a girls name, but hun I know a little boy named Jalen...and since then I've seen it as both. The whole name flows...ignore anyone else!

Being that Jaylen is a unisex name it works out what in what. I doubt that he will get made fun of. If he does just tell him to beat the **** out of the trashy ***** that called him out of name. (I'm willing to bet that after this he won't have any more problems with his name)
But i have to say its a pretty good name choice considering what i'm going to name my first born.
