fine fine, disney is evil, but when you were a kid you totally dug their movies. i mean sure, their stories are completely innacurate (see pocahontas) but they still put out memorable movies that hold an important place in our culture and society today.
i totally agree with you. i was going down the list of disney features via wikipedia, and i totally stopped liking disney movies at mulan. they just dont make as many good disney movies for kids as they did when i was when, (i'm 20 now). the good ole' days of beauty and the beast. but the stuff before that was wonderful too. i mean 101 dalmations, pinocchio, all those oldies so good. now kids are growing up so fast. they like crappy stories or stupid disney features on the disney channel like "high school musical". what happened to the good ole days? oh well, then again civil rights, and other wonderful things didnt exist in the oldest of days so what are you gonna do.
meh oh well

I, too, like disney and I'm a big fan of the old animation (beauty and the beast is my all time favorite). Personally, I think pixar films have been some of the best films with the disney label, to be produced in the last ten years. Toy Story 1 and 2, Finding Nemo, The incredbles, Cars, Monsters Inc, were all fantastic movies that focus on story line and character plot, not just celebrity names, and pop culture references.
I agree in that most of your CGI films are not up to par with Disney, but you also have to remember that not every CGI film is not produced by pixar. Pixar usually produces one film every 1-3 years. Shrek, Madagascar, Over the Hedge are done by dreamworks. Happy Feet was produced by Warner Brothers. Ice Age 1 and 2 was done by Fox.

If you are going to talk about Disney and Pixar,
please note that Shrek and Shrek 2 are made by Dreamworks Animation and Happy Feet is made by Warner Brothers.
Please get your Animationed Feature Movies and Studios correct. Thank you!
Monster House is Columbia Pictures.
Robots, Ice Age, Ice Age 2 are 20th Century Fox.
Madagascar, Shark Tale and Over The Hedge are Dreamworks.

I agree with you totally. I mean I like Shrek and some of the others you just mentioned, but none of them are quite like "The Lion King", etc. I guess they are just trying to make more movies at a faster pace, but then they miss out on the quality. I remember when one was released ever other year or so. Of course, they are also making their money with the Disney Channel - trust me my 15, 14 and 8 year old go ga ga over half of their shows, i.e. "High School Musical." It would be nice if they would go back to their old quality.

Finally after years of monopolizing the genre, Disney has competition from other companies. These companies are raising the bar and Disney hasn't been so quick to respond.
Just a note...Happy Feet is a Warner Brothers movie...

All the movies are pretty good, I didn't realize that they merged with pixar. I think that people might want too much out of a kid's movie. The one's you mentioned are like epics in animation in length and sometimes message.

Lately the Disney movies has been going down. They aren't as good as the lion king, etc. I think that if they can't make movie good enough then they shouldn't make any at all.

Disney movies have gone under perhaps it was because they lost the most important thing that made disney...disney. They lost their uniqueness in making movies but perhaps they need at least one movie a year I suppose.
