I think I would first try and nicely ask them to keep it down a little and then if they won't and if it like really really really really bothered me, I'd maybe end up calling the police. They can get cited or something for that.

Dam that sucks, i hate those kind of neighbors because this thing can get blown out of proportion as so can your neighbors lol. Anyway a thing like this can really get serious. Thank God all my neighbors know not to do anything dumb cause i might look all pretty and sweet but lord have mercy. I tell you man looks are so dam deceiving. I suggest you just call the dam cops so they can give him a ticket or you can get a video cam and record it for evidence just in case you may need to prove that have a noisy neighbor.

I had this actually happen. (ended up moving) but here's what I"ve always WANTED to do in those circumstances:

take your g/f or b/f..rent a helicopter... get a loudspeaker..like they use at the superbowl half time shows or something, and then you and your significant other, fly over the person's house and get real freaky, with as much "sound effects" as possible and blare it at full blast while flying over your neighbor's roof. I think that would stop it pretty quickly. *sighs* If I only had the money.

We live in an apartment complex. Our neighbors upstairs are young guys, who love to have friends over. The music got so loud one night about 12:30 am, that I went up stars and knocked on the door, and asked them to turn the music down. They did, and it seems that they try to keep it down now.

- Knock on his door and ask him to turn it down, or
- Complain to your property manager until they do something, or
- Leave a "friendly" note

If all else fails, call the cops... if it's really out of hand, they'll gladly deal with it in my experience. Most municipalities (cities or towns) have disturbing the peace ordinances that are in effect around the clock, or at least take effect after a certain time (say 11pm).

Call the cops. The last thing you need is to be on the bad side of your neighbors. Or if you have a good relationship with them already, let them know personally. I'm sure they wouldn't mind your honesty.

I would bake them brownies, the not so magic sort of brownies. Brownies so full of choco lax that they all got the atomic poops. Would be darn hard for them to bummping thier jams whilst those brownies went through them like a scud missle. Or I guess you report them to local authorities though thats not nearly as much fun.

Go over, turn the music down, alittle so the cops wouldn't come and join the party!
