Yes, what you wear is an indication of who you think you are, and the image you are trying to portray to others. If you don't want to be treated like trash, don't dress like a whore.

I have been told I was "jailbait" but not because I dress skankily.
If you don't want people thinking you look like a sl**, dont dress like one!

Uh, yes.
Life is about communication. We all try to communicate what and who we are, in every way we can. For example, you never see a dirty cat, or a peacock with ruffled feathers.
For humans, we try to project something from within ourselves through our clothing and manner. So, if you are just a teen 'trying on' a 'sl** persona' don't be surprised if people react to it as if that is what you are.
It's great for playacting for a few hours or days, but dressing in your 'real' roles of student, daughter, sister, and emerging woman is much better.

If lack of general respect and being considered a entry level applicant in the worlds oldest proffesion doesn't bother you then I guess it's not wrong. Just keep in mind that looking the part is just a short step from being what you look like. No one goes from being decent to trash in one big step it's usually a series of short harmless ones that get you there.

You reap what you sow. If you put the signal out there that you are a cheap skank, that's all people will bother to find out about you. I know how revealing fashion is these days, but I'd hate for you to get in over your head because a tank top, a mini skirt and platforms was how you chose to tell the world about yourself.

Yes its bad because then you send guys the wrong signals. Your dress says that you want to do things with them, but you really don't. If you give guys those ideas, it will put you in difficult and even dangerous situations.

You are setting yourself up for rape and maybe even worse. You should change the way you dress before you are jailbait or a statistic.
