As for the name Calum, I'm not a huge fan. Some alternatives could be Caleb or Colton. Caleb Daniel (last name) could be a great name!
As for your little girl I love the name Sophia, it has numerous nicknames, and sounds cute on a young child while being able to be mature on an adult.

Calum sounds like something you put on a rash. Not trying to be harsh, but he'd be called Calamine Lotion from 1st grade on. Why not give yourself a month to get more of a "psychic feel" for your baby, and unless you are planning to give your child a family name, make two really long lists. Just write down every name you hear that you like, and have your partner do the same.
