Jamaican food I would call it International , because people from all walk of life eat Jamaican food, try it you will love I tried it and I love it.

Because it's made a name for itself. What other really distinctive cuisine is there in the Caribbean? You only have to see the crowds of people queuing up outside a really good jerk stand or restaurant to know that this is a serious business. Yea man!

Listen: Try Jamaican food. Just stay away from Mannish water, it will give you the SHYTS for DAYS ON END...Mannish water have potatoes and goat meat and all kinds of shyt. Its like a laxative..

are you going for the experience of the culture or just to be 'somewhere' anywhere one would travel ,the food is their own expression.as is the music of their peice of the world .to not enjoy it or at least TRY it would be a great loss in my opinion.

I would say just for the experience. I did not like it. Do not want to try it again but that is just my personal preference. You may love it as much as others do.

it tastes good. try ackee and salt fish, jerk chicken,escovich fish, festivals,rice and pease. i love all of them. pumpkin and chicken soup and their red peas soup are the best.
