The windshield of my car is cracked. Does anyone know a place where I can get a new one which is cheap?

My husband has a 1998 Toyota Corolla.Its windshield is cracked. Does anyone know a place where I can get a new windshield.I dont want to spend a ton of money to get it replaced. I want a cheap windshield not a very expensive one. We live in Milpitas,San jose. So can anyone help me with where I can get a windshield in the bay area. Thanks

Check with your car insurance company and see if you have converage for that.

I'm not sure about CA but in KY we have a $0 deductible on windshield glass. So if you have comprehensive insurance on your car, it doesn't matter what deductible you have, it's still $0 for windshields. Check with the auto glass repair companies and see if it is that way in California.

I had a windshield replaced at no cost to me by a local auto glass company. I used my auto insurance comprehensive coverage and the glass company waived the deductible, so it didn't cost me a dime. They even came to my place of employment and did it while the car was parked outside.

look in the yellow pages for windshield repair..there are companies out there that come to your house, replace the shield ... usually cheaper than at the Toyota garage. Check it out.

insurance co. will pay all but $100 deductable for a new windshield and even come to your driveway to install it and it won't raise your rates and if you have a glassmasters in your area they will replace your windshield for whatever the insurance pays them.

If you live or drive by a golf course, stop in and yell at the manager and they will buy you a new one on site and have it replaced right there and then, o yeah make sure you tell them a golf ball hit it. and be very pistt.

try a junk yard . they will change it out for you . about $50.00 or $75.00 . good luck.
