I've never heard of a woman dying while giving birth because it was too painful. Women who do die while giving birth is normally due to complications. Hypertension, excessive bleeding and things like that but not because of the pain.

In older times many women did die in child birth, especially if it was their first child ... but never most ... who would raise the children. Nowadays with modern medicine very very few women with proper care die even in the most difficult pregnancies.
There were also many more still births too.
I would guess that the death rate in birth over 100 years ago was at least 1 out of every 100 and could have been as much as 10 out of 100 depending on the severity of life conditions in that era, most from hemorrhages, and bleeding caused by something going wrong in birth, not pain.
Of course the average life expectancy back then was less than 40 years so there are lots of reasons people died back then.

Kay, we live in a modern age, and no MOST women do not die after giving birth. I have actually only heard of one locally in like 7 years of living in my local town
Yes childbirth is painful, but no that pain isn't a killer, it is over quick from what I understand, and a new baby is quite a distraction anyways. I had an epidural to control blood pressure.
Now there are sever complications, but I think they are very uncommon, and with a good Dr on top of things they stop things before it is that bad. I actually had preeclampsia which started as pregnancy induced high blood presure and ended in emergency C-section for premature baby. The dr said baby out now or no more mommy or baby. We both survived just fine.

Yes, most women die at some point after giving birth. However, the ones who never give birth also die at some point.
Very few women who die give birth afterwards.
Seriously, it hurts, but it doesn't hurt THAT much.

Very rarely does a woman die after giving birth from pain. It usually happens due to complications, like too much bleeding or an infection or something. And that is rare as well.

No! Women don't die from pain, they die from complications like blood loss, etc. While childbirth is painful, I've never known anyone who's only had one child because they didn't want to endure the pain again. You forget it the second it's over and with an epidural feel relatively little pain. I've had migraines that were more painful!

Realizing a human being is coming out of their vadge and they die of shock. Sounds pretty scary to me! But really I think it's hemmorage or just excessive bleeding. Usually just something with the blood generally. I heard of one lady that had an anneurism after giving birth, I think it's cause you push so hard.

I've had four kids and I'm still here. Look how many babies are born each day, how many kids are going off to school. Although it can happen in most communities it is a very rare thing. Childbirth is painful but you know there is a wonderful reward at the end of it!!!

No that isn't true. It is true that few women do die during childbirth but it has nothing to do with pain. It is some other kind of medical issue.
