I just put a new gasket on the tranny and was putting fluid in and whoops, motor oil way less than 1/4 of a quart,...what should I do?
I guess i will take off the pan and clean it out, but I was wondering if I could flush it with something....thank you so much for your help

More than likely your dipstick tube empties directly into the pan. Drop the pan, if the filter got some on it replace it, clean the pan and reinstall. fill with trans fluid and forget it.

Not to sure if there any damage by just topping it off with tranny fluid if anything it might make it slip in to gear easier just joking about the slipping part had an old mustang where the heads where so bad that every time I went to the gas station it was fill up the oil and check the gas

Drain what you can from the pan and then take the car to a oil change place and have them power flush the fluid in the transmission. Good luck

Take off the pan, change the filter if any oil got on it. Oil will swell up any rubber and you will be rebuilding tthe transmission.

If you put less than 1/4 qt.....just fill it the rest of the way w/trans. fluid....You'll be ok.
