Okay, here's the scenario:
A woman living in the depths of poverty, she is a protitute, she has syphallus, she already has 7 children, there is a very good chance the child will be born with severe mental deficincies. Would you tell her to abort the fetus?

For everyone that said "Yes"
Congradulations, you've just killed one of the greatest musical minds in history: Ludwig Von Beethoven

Yes I think I would. It seems that her hands are already full with 7 children and living in such bad living conditions. And if it is like a HUGE change that the child would be born as you describe then I'd suggest abortion. Considering that a child with severe mental difficulties needs special care (usually expensive) it would be impossible for her to give he/she what they need. It would be unfair to the child itself as it couldn't grow up under the correct care at all.
If I was female and in that situation, I know I'd do it.

There is not a straight "yes" nor a straight "no".
I sincerely wish no one ever found themselves in this predicament.
If one really wants to help you have to consider the total conditions and environment the woman lives in and the consequences of one decision over another. What will be the overall best decission for her existing 7 children, for herself and for the future child when it is born.
To have a child and not be able to give him/her proper care is cruel.
For those people, all over the world, who are totally against abortion may I ask if they by any chance have set up some sort of global fund to take care of all those kids who do not get aborted?
Do those anti-abortionists ensure those kids are fed, clothed, transported, educated, get medical attention, college, emotional support, material support, throughout their lives, so that they may not find themselves in the same situation of having to decide whether it is best to get rid of a foetus quickly or see their child wither away or suffer throughout his/her life??
Children who are adopted early are lucky, they should be ever grateful to both their set of parents, but it is not always possible to adopt or give up a child for adoption.

ok .. that is a pretty serious situation. I normally would say no. do not abort.. but being that her situation is so serious.. i guess I could see it being an option. I would seriously suggest that this woman.. real or imagined.. God I don't know.... she needs some kind of serious help ...
She already has 7 kids.. mind as well have an 8th.. maybe her pimp can help her raise the kids .. :)

yes, then i would sew her legs together!!
Not really, Yes i would let her abort, and then get her tubes tide. I think there should be a program or a group that helps these women find a different ways to make a living. You educate them help them help them selves. that way we would not have to make this kind of horrible decisions.

No, still I just can't stand abortion. I would help her get to a shelter and get her children into good hands(until she was back on her feet.)
