Racist means making a judgment based on race. Islam is not a race. It is a religion, a school of thought.
Prejudice is making a decision about someone in advance of knowing his motives - hence the prefix pre. It's the judgment of people in advance, based on immutable characteristics RATHER than their ideas. It's judging a book by its cover.
I'm not judging a book by its cover. I've read the book. I'm judging it based on its content, which is kill, maim, dismember people who don't follow the rest of its content. I'm judging a school of thought that says women are inferior, Christians and Jews are not to be among your friends and are to be enslaved and made to pay a tax and then only after you've killed a bunch of them.
You can agree or disagree with my reaction Islam but it is NOT racist and it is NOT prejudiced.

Longhair, go f yourself. Bigot is another word for prejudiced. MLK didn't say don't judge people, he said don't judge them based on their skin color, but rather judge them based on the content of their character - their IDEAS. That is PRECISELY what I'm doing. I'm judging their IDEAS. Their IDEAS are to force women to wear blankets, to render them second class citizens, to spread their religion by murder.

Misinterpreted? We go through this every time - read the darn thing will you? It's not 1 or 2 passages, it's cover to cover kill, maim, dismember. What's the context for cutting off people's heads? It doesn't just say that once!!!! And the Hadiths are all about how Muhammad DID that.
And it's kinda funny, hundreds of thousands of people around the world who claim to follow the religion are "intepreting" it the same way I am. Are they bigots?

Criticizing Christianity isn't racist either, and I've done it on this site. Criticizing Judaism is a bit hairier - it's also an ethnicity. Islam is not an ethnicity or a race. It's a philosophy. Criticizing it is like criticizing Existentialism.

And I don't treat people badly because they are Muslim. Again - it's the thought process, the philosophy.

Your definition of 'Prejudice' is incorrect. I suggest you check either the Oxford English dictionary or the Collins English dictionary.
1. an opinion formed beforehand, especially an unfavourable one based on inadequate facts.
2. Intolerance of or an act of dislike for people of a specific race, religion etc.
Also, I feel that you need to learn more about various religions before making any judgements about them. Muslims are commanded by the Koran to respect both Jews and Christians as they are fellow believers in the same 'One God'. The Christian 'Old Testament' is part of the "Koran" as the same as the Old Testament is derived from the Jewish "Torah". Muslims, the same as Jews, believe that Jesus was only a prophet and not GOD, or the Son of God, or the Holy Spirit.

I'm anti-Religion and I feel totally ok about it. I'm not prejudiced. I don't pre-judge people. I've looked into many religions. I've gone to a Catholic high school. I work in a conservative Christian work place. I've worked in a primarily Mormon work place as well. I've known Muslims and learned about what they believe. With that said, I don't feel like I'm prejudging someones religious beliefs. I feel the way I feel because I've learned about it. I am friends with people of many different religions. We just disagree on religion in general.
So to answer your question, no. You're not prejudice and you're certainly not racist because religious views do not define race. That's something a week-minded person would believe.

So, how many Muslims do you know? It's easy to be anti-Islam when it's a concept, talking about THEM and how bad THEY are.
I've known lots of Muslims. True, most of the men were pretty intolerant, and you'd be right to judge them for it. But most of them were decent people, and they aren't terrorist supporters.
You are bigoted, because you are making blanket statements about a group of people. You're assuming that all muslims are just like OBL, which is franklya very stupid thing to believe.
You can tell yourself you're not a bigot but it's just a lie. I challenge you to go out and meet some actual muslims...or are you too scared to do that?

nicely, you will possibly be against specific religions and what they signify, notwithstanding it does become prejudiced while you're against all adherents of that faith, finding down on them, hating on them, etc. If this is the latter, then this is being prejudiced, and relating to Islam, this is Islamophobia.

Either you haven't read the Quran or your interpretations of it are incorrect. To give you an example, Moses and Jesus are both mentioned in Quran and both are also recognized as Islamic profits and men of god and according to Koran both Judaism and Christianity are true and valid religions which believe in the same and the only God and MUST be respected by all Muslims.
About spilling blood, many people in the past and even the present still kill under the name of religion for example, Jesus said “Turn the other cheek” while crusaders killed in the name of Christianity. Even to this day there are groups around the world who still kill other men and consider themselves men of god such as White Supremacists and Muslim Terrorists.
The true interpretation of all true God worshipping religions and wholly books is to love thy neighbor.

It cant be, one can be anti christian or anti Buddhist it doesn't make them prejudiced in the least it merely means that they don't subscribe to a religious philosophy. I'm an American Indian I am not Christan nor Islamic, nor Jewish, I am not prejudiced, I am just secure in my own beliefs and do not proselytize them to others, nor would I call for the demise of others who do not subscribe to my way of worship.

I think you are a truly awful person for those wretched comments. All men are created equal. You speak of the hatred and violence in the Islam religion....what about radical Christians? They, to me, are the ones with all of the hate in their hearts. Who are we to be so judgmental on this Earth? We are not the ones to be judging. That will be done in the end by God and only God. Not you, not a Muslim, not a Jew not a christian, not a Buddhist. Stop being so hateful and live you life to the fullest

anti-islam is not racist.
i hate racism because people DO NOT CHOOSE TO BE A CERTAIN ETHNICITY. people can choose, however, to be muslim or jewish or christian or hindu or budhist or agnostic or atheist.
BTW, IGNORANCE IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM, RATHER IT IS THE FACT THAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. Do you understand arabic? i bet you dont. the koran does not come through in translation. it does not make sense in english.
