I really love MUSIC!!! and my dream is to be found by a recording artist !!!! all my friends are always telling me i should sing !!! but my family is telling me to be a teacher!! should I follow my own dream or my familys ??? right now I'm giving everything I got to be found. By a recording artist !! I'm working on singing and hopefully I'll go to Hollywood and be found by a recording artist ONE DAY !!!

it`s great that u want to follow your dreams, but i would suggest not to ignore your studies, just in case your dreams of success don`t exactly work out as u hope they will!!! that way, u will have something to keep u alive while working toward your ultimate goal, & something to fall back on in case things don`t pan out!!! but good luck to u!!!

By all means follow your dreams but you have to realize how difficult it is to make it in the music industry, you need to make yourself REALLY stand out, so if you don't have a voice coach get one, anyone can sing to the radio and anyone can rap, you should also learn to play an instrument, keep yourself in good physical condition, these things will make you a little more marketable. There is so much talent out there that has never been discovered simply because the market is saturated with people who want to be stars. Also sing in as many singing competitions as you can find get yourself out to as many people as you can. Good luck.I have been a singer/ songwriter for 20 years, about 10 years a go I went to college so now I have something to do untill someone buys one of my songs and makes it a hit but I have friends who are great musicians but can't afford to pay attention they are so broke , don't be one of them, make sure you have something to fall back on. peace

do what you love.. if you do what your family want, you will regret that you didn't follow your dream you only live once
OR
you can still do the teacher thing while you pursue your music career... so you'll have something to fall back on if music doesn't work out... be safe
you and your family will be happy

u should always follow your own dreams no matter what!!! being discoverd for singing is going 2 b really difficult but if its truly your passion then you wont let that stop you!! dont give up..good luck!! =]

i luv singing 2. and i'm following my dreams. right now i've got a band and we sing in front of the skool. and i've got some solos in the skool concert. so i would follow ur dreams.

i would reccomend to follow your own dream because it`s your life and you should do what you like really best and think you`re good at.
