If you want a purely decimal value for these two powers, you will have to use the function usually shown as x^y on a calculator.

5^1.1 = 5^(11/10)

What you are actually doing here is raising 5 to the eleventh power and then extracting the tenth root of that result. It would look something like this:

√48828125, where the root index is 10.

You can find this value on your scientific calculator by first raising 5 to the eleventh power and then extracting the tenth root of that result.

The second one is similar.

6^0.3 = 6^(3/10) = √216 with root index = 10.

This means that 6 is raised to the third power and then the tenth root of that result is extracted. Find its value by first raising 6 to the third power then extract its tenth root on your scientific calculator.

1.1 = 11/10

= 5 ^ (11/10)

= 10th root of (5^11)

.3 = 3/10

= 6^(3/10)

= 10th root of (6^3)
