You could give it a person name or a pet like name. Person Examples: Thomas, Lilly, Joan, Robert, Mariah. Pet Examples: Triscuit, Spike, Bitsy-my horse's name, Gemini, food names, etc.

My kids have named our Betta's. the first one was Free. number 2 was Flounder and our latest one is named Flounder Rainbow Die (because he has the colors of the rainbow and looks like the first Flounder who died)
