If this is the first time you tried your USB port, it is possible that it is not turned on or properly set up in BIOS. You may have to turn it on through the BIOS.

What is your operating system, XP 2000 Vista Linux and Mac should all show this as a drive. Windows 98 and ME are very poorly supported for USB. If it does not show under the later systems it may be faulty.

If your computer has an AMD CPU, and Viatech USB Host Controllers; changing the USB Host Controller drivers to standard or generic drivers, may work. Sometimes, putting a line in config.sys, helps. ie. "lastdrive=m"

Are you able to boot your system in the safe mode ..

If not then try by booting with the recovery CD
