I was watching cast away the other night and it made me wonder if someone you love and shared a life with, came up missing for three or four years, and you didn't know if they were still alive...Would you hold vidual and wait or move on with your life.How long would you wait?

that's a very good question, I'm almost certain i would wait, although if it were me who had gone missing i think i would want my loved ones to move on and be as happy as they could be

I would personally wait until there was undeniable evidence. I know this may sound strange, but I would not be able to move on with my life until I knew for sure. And now a days without a body there is still hope and faith that the person would be found alive and safely returned to me.

I'd probably move on in a few months cuz a I have my needs to take care of, I'm not gonna sit around and wait. I did it once we saw each other recently we accepted our desicion to move on it was bitter sweet but life is not perfect things happen for a reason maybe we'll meet again under different circumstances.

Oh Cast Away is one of my favorites...Tom Hanks is soo amazing..well, anyways, i think i might wait, depending on how much i love them..i'd probably wait 2 years...and then i would try to renew my life and start over with someone else.

I would forget them as soon as their insurance policy came. JK Actually, this would be a tough one. It would depend on the circumstances of their disappearance. If there would be even a remote possibility they were alive, I would wait about 5 years.

You know, I was watching the same movie the other night, and I thought about your question. I'll keep that person in my heart always, but yes I'll move on after a year or so it depends on how long I knew the person, and how close we were.

I would wait until I at least knew what happened to them. If my love one was to disappear like that I would probably spend those years of my life searching for them until there is nothing else I could possibly do.

Hmm... I think if it were my one true love I would be searching the world over till I found him. I would be completely lovesick and in mourning so the thought of loving another man wouldn't really apply till maybe several years later, like at least five or more. This would so suck, I hope it never happens to me.

If they were my soul mate then I would wait because if you are not with your soulmate like your just with a guy that worked in the set you wouldnt be happy because they arent your soulmate,but sometimes when you think someone is you soulmate and you ended up being with someone else that you love you realize that they are your soulmate.
