unpure thoughts

I think it depends on which denomination you are talking about. Some Christians like going to a priest for confession, but others prefer to go to Jesus. Jesus tells us to confess our sins to Him and to the congregation. The Bible says not to call anyone on earth "Father," or "teacher," because there is only one only Father and one Teacher who lives in heaven.

However, it terms of what sins are confessed the most. I'm not sure if you want the "right" answer or the truthful answer here, so I'll give you both. (You'll see the difference in a moment.) When in confession, I'm not sure which sin is confessed the most. If I had to guess, I'd have to say the sin of adultery.

However, Jesus gave us a parable in the Gospels to look at when it came to examples of confession. In this parable, there was a Pharisee and a Tax Collector on their knees before the Lord confessing their sins. The Pharisee said, "Lord, I thank you that I'm not like that tax collector over there. I thank you that I don't do as many wrong things as he does. Amen." The Tax Collector says to God, "Lord, I'm terrible. I sin all the time. I probably do more wrong things then that Pharisee does over there so I'm asking you to have mercy on me. Amen." In this parable, Jesus condemns the Pharisee's prayer because he didn't admit any wrongdoing. However, Jesus had compassion for the tax collector because even though he may have sinned more often, at least he was willing to admit it. Plus, the tax collector didn't confess to a particular sin...as you may have noticed...he did rather, admit to ANY that that may have committed. Whatever they might be.

I hope this helps.

Cheating on a spouse, adultry. It's the most popular sin out there. I don't think people even confess something like impure thoughts. Nowadays, who cares. Heck, priests have impure thoughts all the time I bet.

Honestly, I think that people CONFESS lying the most. A lot of people were saying Sex or lust. I think that's probebly what sin is COMITTED most often. I just don't see a lot of people telling their local priest about the lustful things they've done.

'Dear Father, forgive me for I have sinned'

'Go on'

'Well, last night as i was drifting off to sleep i began to wonder what on earth I could do to get revenge on everyone who had ever pissed me off, so i got out of bed, shoved on some clothes. I began driving, aimlessly at first and then i began to think about my childhood, how i had been tormented and humiliated, so I set on a course to go to this town. When this morning arrived I finally got here and the first thing I done was went to a church. I pulled out my shotgun and shot the mother ******* asshole of a priest who raped me when i was 10'

'eh?'

BANG

priest dies

the end.

I am not being ridiculous here. Many catholic priests and Nuns ridicule and moleste young children. disgusting

I would say lying and maybe even cheating. Gotta get it off your chest and who better to tell than someone who can't say a word about it to your significant other?
