Some was very heavy physical labor, other was not. Corrie ten Boom put radio parts together during part of her time in the concentration camp. Other prisoners were "rented" to factories around the camps to replace the draftees. (See Schindler's List)
The www.warplaces.net seems like a reliable source of information.
Just saw you wanted info on a specific camp. I searched "Majdanek" and a lot of sites popped up. Try the 3rd reference for info specific to Majdanek.

Depending on where and when, the did everything from farm labor, cutting trees, worked on the railroad, to work in factories, making uniforms and ammunition, bombs and airplanes. Even the engravers for German money were internees and prisoners. They performed just about all of the behind the scenes work that no one could see.

A lot of the population was in charge of transporting the deceased into large ditches, and transporting them from the ovens and gas chambers to other locations. After doing this work for awhile, they were killed themselves because they had been exposed to too many of Hitler's secrets of the camps.
