Well, I've lived here for years. It's absolutely beautiful. The western part of the state has swamps along the Mississippi River, and gently rolling pine forests in Land Between the Lakes. The southern and pennyroyal regions have steeper hills, but a lot of corn, soy, and wheat are grown there. The bluegrass of central Kentucky is one of our state's trademarks. The mountains of eastern Kentucky are beautiful--except for the winter, when there's no vegetation in the forests, then it becomes kind of ugly.

Louisville is an interesting, historical, eclectic city. Lexington has big city excitement within the confines of a small area of land. Bowling Green and Northern Kentucky are up and coming regions.

HOWEVER, I can't stand KY people. In the small towns live many rude, uncouthe, dirty rednecks. In the cities, some of the snobbiest people I've EVER met. Some parts of KY have more impolite drivers than Atlanta or Dallas

I'd rather live in TX, OK, MS, LA, TN, GA, AL, or NC

By the way, the women are more attractive down south than in KY and, for the most part, don't have the rude, snobby attitudes.

When I think of Kentucky, the only thing I think of is KFC and farming. I don't know of any attractions in Kentucky other than historical places. I don't mean this in a bad way, but I think that most of the mid-western states are just boring. States that are along the East and West coasts are way more exciting. I'm suprised that you said that some people in the cities are snobby. I never in this world thought that there were even snobby people in Kentucky.I live in one of the states that you listed where you would rather live, and it is North Carolina.

I love Kentucky!!!! I have lived in Louisville all of my life and I cannot think of a better place to live or raise kids when I have them. I do admit there are allot of rednecks but bless their hearts they don't know any better. For the most part I have found that the ladies including myself are the finest for miles!!!!!(Just to clear that up Ha Ha) You think Ky drivers are bad, go across the bridge and check out those Hoosier drivers, I bet you will then appreciate the "Politeness" of Ky drivers. LOL Last but not least I LOVE KENTUCKY!!!!!!!!

I am not from KY but I live here. It is beautiful. I live in a good city though, so there are not a lot of extremely ignorant people. I think there are attractive people from every area. I really wouldn't say people here are snobs. I came from further north, so people here are really friendly to me.

Kentucky wouldn't have been my first choice as a place to have grown up in but I don't mind it. I don't agree with you on the people being really rude part especially in the eastern part. They are really friendly and kind like they are in most places in the south.
