4.2x - 1.72 = 1.68 - 4.3x

4.2x - 1.72 + 4.3x = 1.68 - 4.3x + 4.3x

8.5x - 1.72 = 1.68

8.5x - 1.72 + 1.72 = 1.68 + 1/72

8.5x = 3.4

8.5x / 8.5 = 3.4 / 8.5

x = 3.4 / 8.5

x = 0.4

For this question we will take the terms containing (x) to the Left Hand Side of the equation and the rest to the Right Hand Side of the equation.

4.2x-1.72 = 1.68-4.3x
=> 4.2x + 4.3x = 1.68 + 1.72
=> 8.5x = 3.4
=> x = 3.4 / 8.5
=> x = 0.4

So, the solution for this equation is 0.4 = x.

Steps a million. rewrite the numerator interior the 1st term as (5x - a million) / [(x + a million) ( x- a million)] 2. rewrite the denominator of the 1st words as (x-5) / [(x-a million) (x-3)] 3. the 1st term reduces to [ (5x - a million) (x-3) ] / [ (x + a million) (x - 5)] 4. assorted this by skill of the reciprocal of the 2d term the cubic section is (x+a million) (x -5) (x-5) 5. the expresion will cut back to (x - 3) (x - 5) = 3 x^2 - 8x + 15 = 3 x^2 - 8x + 12 = 0 (x - 6) (x - 2) = 0 x = 2 or 6

you put the x-s on one side,and the numbers on the other,changing the sign
so
4,2x+!!! 4.3x= 1,68+!!! 1.72
8,5x=3,3
x=3,4/8,5
x=0.4
