Yes, the Gameboy Advance is nearing the end of it's life. Nintendo still makes the GBA, but the newer DS is what everyone is buying, and what most of the new games are being made for. Demand for GBA games is falling - that's why Toys R Us no longer displays them - they were no longer selling well enough to justify the space to stock them. Eventually, Nintendo will stop making the GBA, when demand for new units drops enough.

The Gameboy Advance SP is gone.

But now the Nintendo DS can handle GBA games some people still love the classics and will buy them. In large stores like that they won't sell them though.

Try eBay or any of your other shops that do GAMES only.

Yes. The DS is more fun, more powerful, and more a revolutionary system. The Gameboy Advance SP has been done before.

yes it is. The same way any outdated system starts to be phased out. At the moment you can still find ps2 and ps3 games and systms. However you cant find any more ps games in most places. The same way Nintendo DS is the newest model, so the previouse ones will slowly be phased out.

But I did notice a very reduced choice at Toys R Us at Christmas time.
