At a dinner party a couple of weeks ago. The guest of *honour* (aka 'Donkey man') is the sort of fellow that does not talk to people... he talks *at* people. He is not interested in conversation... only in promoting his point of view. After all, his is the only perspective that counts... the perspectives of others need not be acknowledged, as such is mere drivel. He's a donkey... and all the other words which describe donkeys as well.
My role at the dinner party was to be ornamental and lacking in opinion... a guitar with strings, but lacking the song. I think, maybe, I set myself up to be worse that a guitar without strings. But it was kinda fun giving myself permission to be passive-aggressive... not that he was bright enough to notice :)
