I think Al Sharpton is just looking for attention. He's always playing the race card and yet he doesn't even think about what he's saying. I believe both he and Jesse Jackson came out in favor of law-breaking immigrants and yet now he says he thinks Don Imus should be fired. He can't have it both ways -- either the law and the morals apply to everyone or they apply to no one. I'm for freedom of speech and I don't like what Imus said. However, I don't have to listen to him or any other shock jock. I don't think (judging from all the replays) that he really meant any harm toward the girls. He just made a stupid remark. How many times have we heard black people call their friends "nappy headed hoos"? Don't they say that mimicking or copying someone is the highest form of flattery? Why are they so upset? How many times have they called white people bad names and it hasn't been a big issue. I'd say they need to grow up. Good for the guys who are standing behind Imus. That's the best definition of a friend -- someone who comes in when everyone else is going out.
Oh, and if Al Sharpton is truly a reverand and truly has any true belief in what he preaches, then he would be accepting the apology and promoting forgiveness as part of the christian ethic. Imus's apology seemed pretty sincere to me.

Al Sharpton is the worst kind of racist there is - an intelligent one. He doesn't give a damn what happens to the white people in our country, only the blacks, and in case you haven't been paying attention, when you choose one race over another that's called RACISM!

And you don't have to be black or white or any other color to understand that, so all of you folks who say "white people just won't understand" can go pound sand. Being black doesn't make you special anymore than being white makes me special.

Sharpton, Jackson, and all the other so-called "equal opportunity fighters" out there are all missing the boat. They all say that racial equality will be achieved when blacks have the same things as whites, when what they SHOULD be saying is racial equality will be achieved when it doesn't matter what color you are at all. Morgan Freeman said it best when he said he was anxious for the day when he WASN'T referred to as "an Oscar-winning black actor" but simply "an Oscar-winning actor."

People need to stop listening to Sharpton and Jackson and start listening to Bill Cosby and Morgan Freeman instead.

For what it's worth, as a not so distant observer, he milk's it like there's no tomorrow, and my opinion, is an observation of fact and not fiction, or racism, just the plain old truth. Nothing more nothing less.

D - all the above. He is a money hungry agitator who thrives on hatred and discontent. He, along with Jesse Jackson, David Duke, and a bunch of others, are out for themselves and to hell with everyone else.
