do you find your love wavering? I was born and raised in Queens, so I always loved the Mets, until I went to see the Yankees play the Red Sox, so I found it hard to choose. I wanted to be a part of that rivalry, but regardless-I just love baseball, period. Now and moreso than ever, after joining fantasy leagues, you are forced to pick from other teams. And why not? I only picked Wright, Cano and Mo as far as NY players are concerned. I got a lot of Twins, Padres and Orioles on my teams. I threw in some Tigers and Angels as well. So, do you feel like more of a fan for PLAYERS, or do you remain loyal to your home no matter what?

I remain loyal to my team. Fantasy is a nice release and i can separate the fantasy side of baseball from the pure love of the game (some cant...i realize this) so it is still easy to root for the Tigers (I even rooted while they were losing over 100 games....been loyal too long not to). If you can look at purely numbers for fantasy and not who the players are (dont pick a guy because you like him, he is on your favorite team, etc. then it is easier and really all i care about is beating the other fantasy teams). The nice part about fantasy is you learn an appreciation for players you might not otherwise watch or care about. It gets you involved in more of the majors and not just your team.

No. I have been a Red Sox fan since I was a kid and have no plans on changing (here's to you Yaz!).

I also have an absurd number of fantasy teams. However, I would rather the Sox win the Series and finish last in fantasy.

However, I think I am more of an overall baseball fan. I certainly know more of the players. In fact, I won a bet with a guy at the tire store last week that I couldn't name 3 guys on the Royals - I rattled off 6 before I slowed down (I didn't take his money - too easy).

When I pick for fantasy, I pick the best player regardless of who they play for. I'd bet I have more Yankee players on my fantasy teams than Red Sox, although I have David Ortiz on lots of teams this year because he seemed highly under-rated in drafts this year (on average about 4th or 5th last year vs. 9th or 10th this year).

I'm only a fan of the Yankees. But I always hope for certain players to do well because I admire them and want to be just like them in the future. My favorite non-yankee players are David Wright,Ken Griffey Jr,Greg Maddux,& Johan Santana
