I see nothing wrong with an open marriage as long as you still love each other but need sex on the side for fulfillment of the sex side of marriage.

I disagree. I think the reason so many people divorce is because no one takes marriage seriously these days. And I believe your question is just one more example of that. If you're going to "have sex on the side" why get married???? Stay single and have all the sex you want with whomever you want.

Just my opinion . . .

Ive actually thought about this before but i think in the long run it would just create more problems jealousy and emotions would get in the way eventually and the same thing would happen the marriage would end in divorce also if you're wanting to sleep with other people you really shouldn't have got married in the first place it kinda defeats the purpose of marriage

I see nothing wrong with it as long as both people are on the same page. I personally would not choose an open marriage arrangement, as it introduces too many "unknowns" into the relationship. If I wanted to live on the edge, I would simply remain single. But in a relationship, I am looking for stability above everything else.

Everybody here talks about how open marriages end in divorce but from what Ive seen, the same goes for normal marriages anymore as well. Just about everyone you see these days is getting a divorce. I say forget the whole marriage thing and just live together then you dont have to deal with the pain of getting divorced. think about it.

I agree with mine. I am strongly attracted to the signs that Aries men are attracted to, and even some Taurus' at times. The whole divorce rate between Aries-Scorpio and Aries-Leo I believe because through past relationships and experience, things did not go well and I could not see myself in a marriage with these signs. Also, I haven't really liked an Aries female... They are just too similar to me and I need something different to keep me interested.

Disagree. People don't divorce for the simple fact of infidelity...there are ALWAYS underlying causes for the cheating in the first place. An open marriage would not add or subtract strain.

Then why get married? Marriage is much more than two people just living together and having sex. If more people discussed issues suck as money, sex, children, etc. before they got married then they would know what they are getting themselves into and are less likely to divorce.

I personally TOTALLY DISAGREE, because if
the marriage was open then it would not be a
marriage because it does not exist and if one is
married and has sex on the side, then there would
no longer be a marriage so it's a pretty open and
shut case.

i disagree with you because it may become a habit and eventually would lead to divorce. the reason being that the spouse would get tired of his wife or vice versa. when you get married you say yes to your partner and know to everyone else. plus why would you want to have sex with someone else when you have someone in the house that you can have sex with 7 days a week. 4 weeks a month and 12 months a year except for that time of the month. that would be way more fun than "swinging". plus swingin could lead to STDs and AIDS. it's waaaaaaaaaaay more safe to just have sex with one person than multiple people.

Unless the couple has no emotional feelings for each other people are going to get jealous it's natural.

So i disagree .. open marriages don't usually work ... bitterness and anger usually accompany outside sex.

but it's up to the individual couple to decide whether it ends up working or not.
