He'd be covered by the media as a curiosity. I think he'd be considered a joke. It's sad that any jackaninny with a few billion dollars and a nice looking suit is considered fit to lead, when he lacks any other qualifications. It's as if financial backing is the only form of legitimacy in our culture. Sad.

Not really.

They keep claiming that people are held back by their race or sex in this country, but the only true barrier is money. It takes millions and millions of dollars to run for President. To get those millions, you must have a decent amount of money to start fund-raising.

If you are poor, the general public looks down on you because you don't have what they consider to be the appropriate education. You could be a genius, but, if you don't have a piece of paper from a prestigious college saying that mommy and daddy could afford to send you there, you probably won't go anywhere.

College education is the last legalized bigotry. You can be the best person at your job, but the idiot sitting next to you with the bachelor's degree is going to make twice what you do. That problem is small-scale. If you're talking about being President, forget about it. Snobbery still rules this country.

A poor man can run, but he has no serious chance of winning.

I think you mean if a candidate can run if his campaign doesn't have a lot of money. It's very expensive to reach the masses and travel everywhere, etc. A poor candidate has no serious chance of winning. They can always run though.

Yes but not if he is white or a christian because they are the only ones that it is legal to put down & still be PC. Soon the liberal controlled press will just pick who they want as prez & the lame in America will just go along with it like the puppets they have been turned into by the public uneducation system.

A poor man can run for political office but the chances he/she will win are nearly zero - less than zero. Money, money, and more money is what it takes in the good ole US of A

Yes, he can run. However, one must have the funding for political campaigning. If someone plays their cards right, one can overcome this by getting money from special intrest groups. If someone can do this, they can raise money for their political campaigning. Of course, one has to be very politically smart and know the system. So, it is possible for them to run for the Presidency and compete with others who are running.

Virtually impossible. It takes many millions, if not billions to get to even stand for president.

I suppose if someone was really electric they might just get enough millionaires to back them but I seriously doubt it.

For all the equality of chance that America boasts - only the rich can be president!!!

Poor men run every time. You just never hear of them. They are only on the ballot in one state.
