Depends on the kind of flu. If it is the usual fever, achy kind - keep diet very light, but drink lots and lots of fluids. Can't drink too much.
If it is a stomach flu, best not to eat at all, esp if you are nauseated or vomiting. Drink what you can, but small sips at a time, nothing too hot or too cold and no carbonation.
Tylenol is better than aspirin in either case, though for different reasons.

Usually soup. I like hot foods because they seem to help with the congestion. It really doesn't matter what it is because I cant taste anything anyway. It's good to drink Gatorade or Orange juice. Really any kind of fluids are helpful when you are sick. I have the flu right now. I am at work feeling MISERABLE. :(

I eat ground beef and rice in small doses and drink gatoraide. The ground beef and rice is bland enough to not upset my stomach and I can keep it down. It also helps settle uspet stomachs. The gatoraide is packed with electorlites and keeps me hydrated.
