It will be funny if they did. Every time someone has a baby and it's a male they'll have to say: We just had a baby "not a girl"; or how about in everyday expressions like: Oh "not a girl", what a tough day it's been.
People need to get over silly things like this. There's no need for banning any words. Most people treat the "N" word like a curse word anyway and we should leave it at that but unfortunately with today’s power of media everything goes beyond its intended purpose. Think about it, they've made it sound worse to say the "N" word than the "F" word and the funny thing is that this is only the case if you're not black. If however you are black you can say the "N" word out of love or friendship.

The problem with banning words is that there is always going to be a replacement for the offending word. I was goofing around one day on the web and found a website that listed all the offending words that anyone could think of. It was about 15 pages long. It just won't work.

I think that Samba's was changed to Denny's which I believe has a poor reputations for serving Negroes. As I recall several suits have been settled, all against Denny's favor.
Just some trivia.

I'm pretty sure that the First Amendment precludes the outright banning of words.

They can't ban a word. I don't like hearing these words but people are too sensitive. People need to cool off and not be so offended by words.

And Hooters for obvious reasons. Bob's Big Boy, demeaning to the horizontally challenged among us. We could go on and on until we would revert to grunting like cavemen. PC has run amok.
