35-40k is an adequate salary. You can still have a nice place to live and a decent car, but you cannot live outsid eyour means. You must still budget money but have enough to do some things.

For me, personally, $40k is enough to support my family. We don't have a lot of extras or need much. However, I would love to make $100k/year just so I can put a lot of it in savings.

Several friends who are multi-millionaires spend $40k a year in travel expenses alone. So, I guess it depends on the person, current station in life, their values and interests, and goals.

I would consider $60,000 per person adequate, but not well off.

what we make now about 40K a yr

we are not well off but the bills are pd
we put money in the bank for college, big repairs and maintenance on the house and trucks IE new roof,water heater,brakes,muffler,washer....etc....
but there is not alot of fun money left

i am under paid even been told that by a employee canselor by 6 dollars or more

i have to work two jobs to pay my bills but if i got one for 15$ an hour i could work one and be fine off even though i been to college

At least 6 grand a month. well off would be 5 figures a month, one day i will.

Enough to pay your rent/house payment & insurance, utilities, car and insurance payment, cell phone bill, gas to get to & from work, food for the month, clothing allowance, a little fun money for movies, etc. and enough to give the Lord back his 10%.

all depends where you live and ur expenses.. but, id say for a 'normal middle class' family of 3.... that sounds about right.
