dam- about anything they have to say about anything?

As a Democrat , I am curious if there are other Democrats like me, that believe that we are simply wasting our time supporting a losing cause.

And, why does everyone make sport of democrats, like we are stupid or something?

And, what is a "Dumbocrat?"

I wouldn't say that we are supporting a losing cause. The Democrats just won a majority in both chambers of Congress and took many state legislatures and governorships. It looks like we're going to win big again in 2008.
Dumbocrat is another word used by people who can't argue issues so they resort to name calling and labeling.

Most people are to simple to listen to both sides, liberal or conservative, so mostly it is a waste of time. But why sit idly and wait for simplicity and ignorance to take over, sometimes people listen and actually think about what you have told them, whether or not it changes there mind, it makes it worth while for both sides. Oh and the people who say things like "libtard" and "dumbocrat" are really just trying to cover up there own insignificance and inability to thoughtfully argue there side of the issue.

I suspect that equal attention is paid to each side. Do I care what the other side says if it is just a bunch of inane name calling? Not in the least. I pass over those comments very quickly. I would prefer to have sensible discussion on all issues but that seems hopeless when there are so many juvenile thinkers (?) who are chalking up points.

I think we should never stop fighting for what we believe in... then you are just surrendering to believe something that you do not think is right. Some people are always going to think what they think because they truly think what they believe is correct. There are many people though that are undecided or in the middle. We have to keep saying how we feel about issues so we can get those people to join our cause. Well they treat us like we are inferior because we don't agree with their beliefs. What I do not understand is why people continue to stay Conservative when they see the condition they have put our country into.

There is no way anyone in the Republican party really cares about what any American think or say. Republicans center on one issue, money. Have you noticed ALL Republicans have decided to ignore the last elections as if they never happened.
Democrats have only one real course of action and that is in fact the Impeachment of Bush and Cheney. They know it.

How can you believe anyone on here cares. I kind of like this forum becaue it gets people talking about it at least. That might actually boost our voting up to like 30% or something!

My, you are being touchy.
I am a Liberal, and except for a few loonies, (from both sides) we are having a ball.
If you think Democrats are being 'ill-treated' now, you should have been around before the Nov elections. Before Cons got their sorry butts handed to them on a platter.
'The bad old days'
I think many Cons have toned down their paranoia and crazy rhetoric..

Im a Democrat in name only. I mean I am registered as a Democrat but do not support their ideas. Especially recently, they are weak, have no spine and no backbone. They let the Republicans run all over them and ask for more. The Democratic party of today is pathetic. However I'll be damned before I ever vote Republican.

As an Independent who often sides with Dems, I'll say this. Arguing/Debating (whatever you call it) on YA! is simply inexpensive entertainment for me. It's better than being out spending money on something I really don't need.

Republicans care enough that they pay some people to post on here. They are responsible for many of the insults.
