I hate mine. My accent seems stronger than usual on tape as well. Makes me cringe.

I don't like the sound of my voice - either 'live' or recorded. HOwever, I've been told on several occasions by different people that I have a very pleasant voice to listen to.

I hate the sound of my voice on tape etc. I sound so high.

But I think hating your voice is something everyone experiences.

I've been told my voice is sexy. But I don't know how that can be. I think I sound like a chipmunk. LOL

I hate my voice. When I hear it on video camera and stuff I can't believe what a Derbyshire accent I've got. It makes me cringe!

Mine makes me cringe. How can my ears be so close to my mouth and not hear what I actually sound like? How can what my "live" voice sound like to me and my recorded voice sound so different? Scary...

I have an idea in my head of what my voice sounds like. Yet when I listen to myself on an answerphone message or voicemail on my mobile phone, I think it sounds nothing like me, and I really don't like it, so I'm left wondering, which is the real me??!!

Cheery, a bit loud though. I like the sound of my own voice actually. sometimes it can sound sarcastic, droopy, uninterested, monotone, though. But that's when I feel low or
bored. Like at this very moment as I answer this question.

When you hear your own voice you hear vibtations through your skull as well as through the air, but on tape it is through the air only that's why it sounds different, and freaks you out because it's not how you normally hear yourself.

I don't like my voice on tape. It irritates me. Why is that? I don't mind my voice when i hear myself talk.
