Usually the idea behind a deposit is to ensure that they can count on you being there, so the answer is probably no. I would check, though, if it doesn't actually say nonrefundable.

Find your acceptance letter and other papers from the school and read whether you deposit is refundable. If it's not refundable, don't count on getting it back, but you could try calling anyway. Chances are it's not refundable.
