I might wanna go to law school, and I currently attend a 4th tier university (accordin to USnews), so I was thinking of transferring to a 3rd tier. you think transferrin to a 3rd tier would help me out in applying to law school at all?

The better the school you go to, the better your chances of getting into a good graduate program.

Why not try for a second tier school -- there are lots of good public universities in the second tier.

Yes, it definitely makes a difference. Given a choice between a great student at a top-tier university and a great student at a mediocre university (you don't get in if you aren't a good student anywhere), they will take the one from the top-tier university every time. I would apply to the best schools possible if you are really serious about going to law school.

Yeah, kind of...i mean it does make you look better if you go to a school that is in a higher tier. I think transferring to a higher tier would definately help.
