Yes, I believe mankind will last well past the year 3000, We are growing more intollerant to wars and other stupid political bullying mistakes mad by some of our leaders in the past century. We can see that now. Look at the WW2 we lost massive amounts of lives yet did not complain. Vietnam we lost 50k and complained about it. This last war some 3 to 4k and are heavily against it because of the toll of lives it is taking. Society and civilization is evolving to eventually not want to fight wars. It may take another 300 or so years to finally dissolve all military conflicts but it is looking promising. Our medical research is gaining by extrodinary leaps and bounds along with science. Some of us that are on here now may actually end up living to see the next several hundred years and who knows maybe till year 3000. But I do believe we will have colonized the moon, mars and perhaps the nearest star system or two by then. I hope for the best.

No, not if we continue to focus on the negative as you have in your post here. With the attention of all of the news focusing on the negative we attract more and more of it into our experience. That's why I no longer read the paper or watch the news. And yet, I always seem to know what's going on in the world. We just can't seem to escape it. I try to focus my time on things that are more positive, that I want to attract into my experience.
Collectively as a people, mankind can control how long we last depending on what we focus our collective attention upon.
*Oh, and regarding the person above who mentioned Sylvia Browne's prediction, I am a huge fan of hers and saw her speak recently in Toronto, as well as watching her often on Montel Williams. She NEVER said that the world will not last beyond 90 years, only that SHE could not see anything into the next century, which she openly admitted doesn't necessarily mean a thing and certainly not doomsday for mankind.

Absolutely mankind will be around in the year 3000!
There is the positive stuff you've neglected to focus on. For every bad thing listed on the news there are 1000 good things to counter act this.
News in general is very bad. It pray's on peoples fears; which leads them to disparity. Focus on the stuff not in the TV ... How many smiles were shared today? (Countless???) Who's working on vacines for the poor? Doesn't disagreement open the doors for agreements eventually. Maybe not in our ideal, but eventually, there comes that point where agreement resides over disagreement.

Mankind will survive. But civilization might go through some radical changes, like ancient Rome or the Maya or the Aztecs or like ancient Egypt or Babylon. They don't exist anymore though humans survived.

Nope... actually, I think there will be survivors, but how many and what they'll be like are up for debate.
I have no idea what life will be like in just under 1000 years.

Whew, that is stretching it. No way any of us are getting out alive. Evolution will make us so different, we wouldn't recognize US.
