It's just a small piece that chipped off....

Well, to start off with, we need a little more information here....

Is this knock-down texture on a wall, ceiling, or floor, and what is the texture made of?

Why did the piece chip off? Is there a moisture problem?

Ive worked with mainly a dry-wall type product for interior walls, but I do know that you can achieve a similar look with masonry products, with a little practice.

Whichever type of product you will be working with (take your chip to the hardware store, if you're not sure which), you can usually make a repair by dabbing a bit on with a sponge, wait a few minutes, and then run a putty knife over it, to smooth the lumps flat.

Good Luck
