Whats a hawks nateral habitat

It depends on the hawk. Some prefer woodlands (Coopers & Sharp-shin), some open areas (Red-tail), some plains (Ferruginous). You need to know exactly which hawk you are talking about.

My wife & I see a Red-tailed hawk on our back fence every now & then --- and we live in suburban St Louis - with streets of 1/4 acre lots.

But they generally prefer fields & open woodlands since their main diet is rodents (& some birds). And there are a lot of open fields within a mile or so.

Depents what species of hawk. Most hawks like wooded areas, sparrow hawks often live in resedential areas, hunting in gardens.
However, the Harris Hawk (which is not really a true hawk) lives in the mexican desserts and hunt in family groups.
