In the west, it's going to be Detroit. Their scoring has been the only question mark for them, with their goaltending and defense being more than adequate to take out any team.
In the east, I have to go with Buffalo. You have alot of young goaltenders making a rare playoff appearance in the east, and that is going to cost some teams (like Pittsburg, Ottawa, etc). Jersey doesn't have the scoring or defense, and Brodeur can't do it all for them.
Wings will win the cup, but I think it might go as far as 6 games

It's true, it's not how you played the season, or how you finished in the standings -- it's how you've played lately, and how your team is positioned to handle playoff hockey: depth, condition, experience.
East == Buffalo
West== Nashville
Both of these teams went thru a cold spell recently but have come out of it red hot -- especially Sabres. I think they're most likely to be in the finals. Second choices:
East == Penguins
West == Wild

They're called Confrences not Divisions. Anyway, most people think Detroit and Buffalo because they are in first. WRONG! It's not who's the best seeded team, it's who can score, check, have great goaltending and more. My picks are Atlanta and Calgary. Atlanta because they have had a great season, and some of their veterans have had experience, like Tkachuk or Hossa. Others like Letonen or Kolvachuck (How ever u spell them) have been with this club for most or all of their careers. I picked Calgary because I love them!!! Go Flames Go!!

I think the Senators will take the East. They have talented scorers who are great leaders as well. Vancouver will take the West because of Roberto Luongo and since the PP has picked up in their last few games, the timely PP goal should win many of the games.

I'm picking the Sabres in the East - I think they learned a lot from last year's playoffs and will be tough to beat this year.
In the West - I'd love for my Wings to go all the way but I don't think they will. I am picking the Canucks - Luongo is wayyy too hungry for the playoffs!

buffalo in the east ... anaheim in the west. Yes, the Ducks and Giguere are ready for another run at the Cup but this time they have the NHL's best defensemen, neidermayer and pronger. I like Buffalo to win it all though.
