My husband and I have recently seperated and when I called to drop him from my insurance they said I have to have documentation of a legal seperation. When I went to the courthouse to ask what I needed to do, of course they told me they could not give out legal information and to contact an attorney. If I am going to have to pay an attorney to get a seperation I might as well just go ahead and get a divorce. I know that you can file for a divorce on your own for $100.00 but I am not sure how to get the forms and what to do afterwards.

Ask yahoo....that's what I did and the answer comes up and directs you to the state in question. Click on Arkansas. Do not get a legal separation though because you have just a limited amount of time to get a divorce and will have to pay the fees again. Good LUck

Call Legal Aid. I got my divorce through them. It's actually just paralegals but they can give you all the forms that you need and can help you fill them out. I got a divorce in MO and it was 120 all together or around there. AK may cost more or less but I'm sure it will be near the same. Good Luck!

Go see an Attorney and I am sure that they will give you the paper work or fill it out themselves. Your first consultation is free.

You really should get an attorney. There is so much involved in most divorces...property....children, etc. that I cannot imagine going it alone.
