A Cookie is a piece of code that some internet web sites will place on your computer. That web site's software will look for that cookie so that it can remember certain things. For example, your Yahoo id is written in a Cookie on your computer. That is how Yahoo remembers who you are. Cookies is basically safe since it is info on your computer. Some, tho, may be adware that can cause pop-ups. I suggest blocking pop-ups and deleteing Cookies frequently.

To remove Cookies, click Tools, Internet Options, Delete Cookies. The next time you refresh your screen, Yahoo will not know who you are so you will have to sign in again. The same will apply to other web sites that have info about you stored.
