There are other planets because planets tend to form naturally. Who said there isn't life on any one.

Well, if you are talking about the galaxy, there are probably millions of other planets out there. We do not know if there are any that support life. However, that might just be because we have not gone to these other planets. Science is just now able to detect these distant planets and is not really able to detect anything of detail about the planet such as if it has life or not.
If you are talking about the solar system, there are only 7 other planets (plus Pluto). So far, it has only been proven that there is life on Earth. However, there are still some who believe that Mars may have had life at one point. We will not know for sure until we get back direct samples from the planet or we send people there to check the rocks.
Also, there are some who believe that moons on Jupiter or Saturn might have life. Once again, there is no proof of it and the only way to find out is to send explorations there.

Well, the real answer is because God made this planet a special one. BUT since you asked this in the science section, scientifically speaking, we don't know if there is any kind of life on any other planet, but it's a possibility. The only problem is that it would take thousands and milions of years to get the full answer to this question because of the huge distances in the universe. We would have to invent something that can travel faster than the speed of light. If we ever want to check out some of those distant planets and we haven't even figured out how to move at the speed of light (good luck with that scientists).

The reason we haven't found life is because were a one planet with small beings compared to the entire galaxy.
I believe that we formed so quickly due to our position near the sun. No too hot...not too cold kind of thing. Maybe the life on other planets are not the same as ours.
And the Earth is a body of many minerals as is other planets. According to many scientists, planets are the debris of mass explosions that occurred at the beginning on time. That's the best I can give.

There are lots of planets in galaxy because they are a perfectly natural phenomenon. As for why isn't there life, the question assumes that there isn't any and we don't know that for sure.
From a scientific perspective, life (as we know it) needs a certain range of condtions to occur and a certain amount for time during which those conditions persist for evolution to occur. We have not explored very many places in our solar system yet, and most of the ones we have don't satisfy all the constraints. However, with the abundance of planets in the universe, it is very likely that life DOES exist somewhere else, in places that we have yet to explore.

We haven't discovered all the planets in the galaxy, yet. We've only hit the tip of the ice burg. If there is suspected conditions to harbor life on another planet, it's so far away that it takes time to figure all of that out.
I mean, think about it. At light speed, the nearest solar system is over 10,000 years away.

I dont understand your first question. There are several planets in our galaxy. There is no life on them becaues they are either too close or too far from the sun. Earth happens to be the perfect distance from the sun to sustain life. We would have to terraform another planet, ie, add oxygen and atmosphere, in order to make it inhabitable.

There probably is, was or will be at some point.
The issue is that we have only been around for a short period of time, cosmically speaking, and that it may never be practical to travel the distances needed (either in person, or with light-speed communications) to contact other intelligent life.

We don't know if there is life outside our solar system. There may be 100's or 1000's or even 100000000's of planets in the Universe that can sustain life...in fact I think we would be rather arogant to believe that we are the only one's .

You're assuming that life doesn't exist on other planets. Its never really been proven one way or the other.
