I saw footage of them watching Man U game, playing ping pong, joking and laughing... nobody even built a naked pyramid out of them or forced to eat britsh food (joke)... Now as their story of "torture, pressure, interrogaton" seems all but credible, Tony Blair ordered them to keep their mouth shut. Dont you think there is something really fishy about this?

What we do know is that the British claims of a clearly marked line separating Iraqi and Iranian waters are false. The maritime boundary is disputed, and the UK has no standing to say whose water is whose.

We also know that Americans have been abducting Iranian diplomats in Iraq, and even attacked an Iranian mission in Iraqi Kurdistan and took five Iranian consular officials prisoner.

We also know that the Americans released a high ranking Iranian diplomat during the British hostage crisis.

It seems that the Iranians were reacting to their own people being abducted, and tried to shine as bright a light on the situation as possible.

The torture claims are false. There is no evidence of torture, physical or psychological, and all concerned seem to be in good spirits during and after the ordeal. Besides, there was no reason to torture 15 low ranking marines and sailors - what would they know?

I do indeed think there is something fishy. This is not the England I know, the ones who aren't cowards, the ones who don't bow to terrorism. They have always fought the Northern Irish, who have always terrorized their people, but now they want to lay down, after the capture, and then release of their navy soldiers, after only 13 days in captivity???? Is Tony Blair expecting Iran's Prime Minister to give England oil? Give Tony 72 virgins, and the right-hand side at the dinner table with Allah? What? There is a lot more to the story, than is told, yes. Another thing I can't understand, is why did Tony Blair cave, when he said the release of the hostages opens up new chances for peaceful discussions with the Arabs? Peace is not in an Arab's vocabulary. Tony Blair lets umpteen thousands of Muslims into England, and they all live off the tax money of the English citizens, as well. What is up with him, period? Is he Americas ally or not? I would appreciate an honest British person's opinion of all of this, as well.

you are right, there are too many facts that are not facts at all, such as...why the B sailors were capture in the first place?
why did not they fight back?, why they did not have radar, radio, binoculars, and if they did why did they not use them?
Now the B-PM is changing his mind about allowing the sailors to sell or not to sell their stories...what exactly is going on?

I think this whole situation was just an excuse for us the public to focus on that particular situation while something bigger was happening parallel to it....

I think the brits need Margaret Thatcher( a former PM) to wear the pants again, even though I never liked her, she was decisive and clear of her intentions..

bush and blair are like the dynamic duo...batman and robin...just a show...

I don't think there has been a lot of evidence from either side pointing to torture. I think what appears to have happened is that they were completely used by Iran as a political tool. They were forced into saying things like they were at fault so Iranians would think the British were bad. Iran appears to have used psychological means to convince them to say those things.

In the liberal filter which is really just communism and anti-americanism in disguise.... everything is the fault of Britain and the Big Bad USA.....
Of course is these two entities were completely removed from the Earth, modern liberalism insists that the world would indeed be peaceful for all eternity.

What in God's name makes you think that the Iranians treated them well? We're talking about the country that perfected modern-day hostage-taking. When a hostage returns from captivity in a third-world caveman culture and tells of being threatened into confessing something he didn't do, I believe him.

There is a difference between British sailors and man-dress-wearing rogues. Learn it.

Last I heard, the soldiers were given permission to sell their stories. You don't think that the pictures of the soldiers shaking hands with the idiot were staged?
