It is NOT a remake! It may just be reminding you of another movie. But is certainly not a remake. Maybe it's a modern retelling of an older story such that AI was a modern retelling of Pinocchio but not a remake of Pinnocchio. Or how The Lost Boys was a vampire version of Peter Pan but not a remake of Peter Pan. Can't wait to see what the correct answer is! Have your sources ready! :-)
